Motorists have been caught in delays at a key Preston motorway junction after police were called.
The Broughton interchange where the M6 and M55 meet was closed shortly after 7.10am on Friday (21 June).
Motorists reported a pedestrian in the carriageway close to Junction 32 of the M6 northbound and Junction 1 of the M55 eastbound.

Preston Police have confirmed they were called to a concern for welfare.
The motorway was shut until shortly before 8.30am when it fully reopened and delays have cleared.
Blog Preston understands no one was hurt in the incident.
