Redditor Choice-parking-8503 posted her hack on the social media platform.

The woman said she does four steps before even swiping on deodorant.

“Apply a men’s deodorant,” she said.

She also added styling tips to reduce odors even further.

STEP BY STEP

The Redditor dished on her secret weapon against body odor.

“I use acne pads (like Stridex or Oxy) on my armpits and it’s amazing, read about it somewhere here and it keeps bacteria at bay,” she said.

Stridex Medicated Acne Pads are sold for $4.49 on Amazon.

“Thoroughly clean your pits with something that exfoliates (loofah sponge) in the shower. Do the smell test while in there to make sure you’re 100% clean,” she said.

Then she allows her armpits to completely dry.

She follows up with the acne pads, being sure to cover the entire area.

She completes her routine with a few swipes of men’s deodorant.

The Redditor included a style tip to diminish odors even further.

“Wear natural fiber and breathable shirts,” she said.

“I find that no matter what I do, if I wear polyester or other synthetic material fabrics, I get somewhat stinky.”

RAVE REVIEWS

Several Amazon shoppers also swear by the pads for use on their armpits.

“I actually use these on my armpits if they’re feeling funky. Very effective,” one wrote.

“Purchased for its unintended use,” another added.

“Reddit beauty noted if you use this on your armpits its supposed to help adjust your pH balance to help with smells and it absolutely did work for me.

“Not sure if aging or change in diet, but I’ve noticed my armpits started smelling more and now.

“I don’t even have to use deodorant because of this stuff.”
