Man, 18, arrested after car flips on Eastway in Fulwood

A man was arrested after a crash in Fulwood that left one vehicle on its roof.

Police were called at around 6.40pm yesterday (26 June) after reports of a crash on Eastway. They closed the road and worked with Lancashire Fire & Rescue Service after finding a car had flipped.

It has since been confirmed that the crash was damage-only – no injuries were sustained as a result.

However, an 18-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of driving while over the prescribed limit of a specified control drug.

He has been released under investigation, police said.

A spokesperson for police told Blog Preston: “An 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of driving whilst over the prescribed limit of a specified controlled drug. He has since been released under investigation.”
