As the general election results unfold across the country we’ll have the very latest for you with our coverage of the results in Preston and the surrounding areas.

We will have reporters at the Preston count, Ribble Valley count, South Ribble count and Lancaster and Wyre count.

There will also be updates on results from other seats close-by to Preston too.

The polls have opened and voting is underway until 10pm on Thursday (4 July).

We expect the count at Preston Guild Hall for the Preston seat to get started around 11pm and we expect a result somewhere between 3.30am-4am. We expect results from the seats we’re following around Preston to be between 2am-4am on the most part.
