EATING champion Miki Sudo has set a new world record at this year’s Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest.
Miki took home the gold for the women’s contest and scored a new world record by eating 51 hot dogs and buns, passing her previous high score of 48.5 hot dogs in 10 minutes.
Her tenth belt win comes before the men’s contest at Coney Island begins – which will see a new champion crowned, succeeding legend Joey Chestnut
Joey smashed the record last year on his way to an incredible 16th victory by eating 76 hot dogs in 10 minutes.
However, in a ruling that shocked and outraged fans, the poster boy of the sport was BANNED from taking part this year because of his new sponsorship with plant-based Impossible Foods.
The men’s contest is currently underway on ESPN2. If you don’t have ESPN, you can watch the contest with subscriptions to Fubo, Hulu, and Sling.
