Asisat Oshoala has been included in the Super Falcons team that will represent Nigeria at the 2024 Olympic games in Paris later this year. Coach Randy Waldrum’s team includes 18 foreign-based players as Nigeria hopes to secure their first gold medal in the tournament.
Leading the charge for the Super Falcons in Paris are seasoned leaders such as National team captain Rasheedat Ajibade, goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie, defender Osinachi Ohale, and six-times African Player of the Year, Asisat Oshoala.
The team is also complemented by a talented list of players, featuring defenders Oluwatosin Demehin and Michelle Alozie, midfield dynamos Deborah Abiodun and Halimatu Ayinde, and rising stars Toni Payne, Esther Okoronkwo, Chinwendu Ihezuo, and Uchenna Kanu.

The Falcons depart from Abuja this Thursday, as they head to Seville, Spain for an intensive training camp.
The Super Falcons earned their place in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games by triumphing over South Africa in a hard-fought qualification battle earlier this year. Their Olympics campaign with a clash against Brazil at Stade Bordeaux on July 25th, followed by encounters against Spain and Japan.
Nigeria’s preparations for the Olympic Games continue
As Nigeria prepares to go for Gold in Paris, US-based sports apparel company Actively Black has officially unveiled Team Nigeria’s Paris Olympic kits.
The fast-rising sportswear company announced its collaboration with the Nigerian Olympic Committee on its Instagram page in April, emphasizing as a milestone moment as a black-owned, diaspora-owned brand.
For the kits, Actively Black boldly used the Green and White colours of Nigeria and fine-tuned it with Black to bring out the vibrant culture and urban feel for the athlete’s comfort at the Games.
