Refurbishment works are taking place on The Missionary Training Centre in Chorley and are due to be completed soon.

The £111,000 project on The Preston (England) Temple began at the end of April and is being managed by B&E Boys Construction.

The refurbishment has been focusing on the washrooms at the centre and includes the installation of new shower pods with mechanical, plumbing and electrical works being undertaken throughout.

The Temple was the sixth temple built in Europe and only the second to be built in the United Kingdom.

It is also the largest Latter-day Saint temple in Europe, being based on a 15-acre site, and includes a stake centre, the missionary training centre and accommodations, a family history centre and distribution centre, and a patron housing facility.

B&E Boys have undertaken projects for The Church of the Latter Day Saints many times over the last several years, including a £2 million two-storey extension at the Temple site in Chorley in 2016.
