Police shut one of Preston city centre’s busiest roads during Wednesday evening due to a stand-off on a bridge.

Ringway was shut between the Holiday Inn and North Road junction down towards the prison and Ribbleton Lane junction.

Preston Police were called shortly after 6pm on Wednesday 17 July due to a ‘concern for safety’ involving a woman.
