MANCHESTER UNITED fans are convinced they’re “going back to Sir Alex Ferguson days again” after spotting a tweak to Old Trafford’s tunnel design.
New owners INEOS have made developing their stadium a priority.

While re-developing Old Trafford is a possibility, Sir Jim Ratcliffe has been open about the fact that a new stadium could need to be created and dubbed it “The Wembley of the north”.
Ratcliffe would like a new stadium to see an increase in capacity from the current 74,000 to 100,000.
That’s because Old Trafford, while iconic, has been beset by problems in recent years.
Heavy rainfall during games last year exposed just how much the stadium roof would leak when the area was hit by rain.
In the meantime, INEOS have decided to modernise parts of Old Trafford.
A new video on social media shows the tunnel that players walk out of in the Stretford end has undergone a makeover.
It shows that strip lights have been installed in the tunnel, creating a luxury look.
Strip lights have also been added around the door frame to the players’ dressing room.

Fans reacting on X delighted in the re-design.
One fan said: “I cannot explain it but it is the small things like this that will make INEOS extremely successful at Man United and take us back to the Sir Alex Ferguson days again.”
Another said: “No but this looks stunning.”
A third said: “INEOS effect”
But not all fans were prepared to buy into the lighting transformation, with one fan saying: “Is that it? Some LED lights? must be something to do with the budget? ”
United will kick-off their pre-season tour of the US on Saturday when they take on Arsenal in California.
They’ll then take on Real Betis in San Diego before facing Liverpool in South Carolina.
