The Paris Olympics Committee has revealed that Snoop Dogg will play a pivotal role in the upcoming opening ceremony on Friday by carrying the iconic torch for the final step of it relay.

The committee expressed their excitement in an official statement, “We are thrilled to announce that Snoop Dogg will be one of the final torchbearers for the Paris 2024 Olympics.”

These torchbearers were selected based on their significant contributions to France, either on a national scale or within their local communities.

Other carriers of the torch in Saint-Denis on Friday include French actress Laetitia Casta and French rapper MC Solaar. The Paris 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, France, is set to hold from July 24 to August 11, 2024.
