Manchester United’s new £52 million defender, Leny Yoro, sustained a serious injury which will rule him out of football for three months.

Also, Manchester United striker, Rasmus Hojlund will be sidelined for six weeks due to injuries they suffered in a pre-season game against Arsenal. These injuries occurred during the team’s pre-season game at the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, United States.

Leny Yoro was spotted at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) training base, wearing a protective boot and using crutches.

This raised concerns about the severity of his injury, and it has been confirmed that the 18-year-old will be out of action until the end of October.

As a result, he is expected to miss a significant number of Premier League games, including matches against Liverpool, Tottenham, and Aston Villa, as well as the start of United’s Europa League and Carabao Cup campaigns.

Upon returning to the United Kingdom, Yoro will undergo further tests to determine the exact extent of the injury. Despite this setback, he will continue travelling with the United team for the remaining matches of their US trip.

On the other hand, Rasmus Hojlund, who scored United’s opening goal in the weekend game, sustained a hamstring injury and will be out of action until after the September international break. This means he will miss the crucial game against Liverpool at Old Trafford on September 1.

It is uncertain whether these injuries will prompt Manchester United to intensify their pursuit of Jarred Branthwaite from Everton or Matthijs de Ligt from Bayern Munich, both of whom have been targets for the club earlier in the summer.
