DRAMATIC photos of Kesha covered in blood during her Lollapalooza set have sparked concern after the singer revealed what actually happened backstage.

Kesha joined artists like Chappell Roan, Benson Boone, and Lizzy McAlpine to kick off day one of the Chicago music festival on Thursday.

Kesha admitted on Twitter she unknowingly performed with a real knife instead of a prop[/caption]

At one point during her performance, Kesha appeared to be covered in fake blood while holding, what concertgoers wrongly assumed, was a prop knife.

Kesha later admitted it was a “real butcher knife stolen from the kitchen” to replace a prop that “went missing” before she took the stage.

The Cannibal singer wrote on X, “sooooo apparently the prop knife went missing and they replaced it with a real butcher knife stolen from the kitchen.”

“And i didn’t know. till now. so watch that again….” she continued.

Outraged fans demanded an “inquiry” in the comments section, with one person writing, “Time to fire somebody on your team.”

Another comment read, “This is so unprofessional.”

“And if you had decided to improvise???” one X user wrote. “An inquiry should be put in with your team and someone should be held accountable that’s sooooo bad.”

A third person commented, “Hmm, not the appropriate way to handle a missing prop knife [in my opinion].”

Kesha brandished the knife during a rendition of her 2010 hit of Backstabber.

Fans are convinced Kesha “shaded” Katy Perry when she performed the song, which features the lyrics, “Katie’s to the left, rippin’ my style.”

While Kesha sang the first half of the sentence, she stopped mid-way and reportedly shot the cameras a look of disgust.

Earlier this year, Kesha savagely responded to the news that Katy, 39, was working with controversial music producer Dr Luke – who she accused of emotional abuse and sexual assault in 2014.

Dr Luke denied the allegations and counter-sued Kesha, with the duo settling their claims last year.

After Katy announced the release of her new single Woman’s World – that listed Dr Luke as a collaborator – Kesha issued a single-word response on X that read, “lol.”

She chose to wear a white tank top with the same message for her Lollapalooza set on 1 August.

Kesha stormed the stage at Grant Park on Thursday as she delivered an uninhibited, energetic, and deliciously camp hour-long performance – 15 years after she first performed at Lollapalooza.

She reflected on her debut on Thursday, telling the audience, “It was the first time more than five people came to see me play.

“I remember I was so f***ing terrified that I would be judged,” Kesha continued.

“But now, standing here as the woman I am right now, I can see that all of that hate has made me into one powerful f***ing mother f***er.”

Fans were thrilled when Kesha modified the opening line of her 2010 smash hit TiK ToK to “Wake up in the morning yelling, f*** P-Diddy” as the words appeared on a screen behind her.

Sean “Diddy” Combs is currently facing multiple civil lawsuits accusing him of sex trafficking, sexual abuse, and rape.

The music producer has strongly denied the allegations, vowing to “fight for my name, my family and for the truth” in a statement released last December.
