A Preston schoolgirl has made another leap in her footballing career.

Holly Wilson, a 14-year-old from Fulwood, has just signed her U16’s contract to play at Manchester United ladies, a year above her age group.

Holly and her team have recently been the first girl’s team to be involved in the Northern Ireland SuperCup.

SuperCupNI is one of the world’s most renowned youth football tournaments, hosted at Dixon Park, and one of the biggest sporting events in Northern Ireland.

The Manchester United girl’s team celebrated their first-ever appearance with a win over the host nation, Northern Ireland, last month.

Holly is quickly excelling in her career, last year she was named coaches player of the year.

Her dream is to play for Manchester United’s first team and England’s Women’s team one day.
