In fact, Hobart recorded the highest temperature of all the eastern seaboard state capital cities, Weatherzone reported.
It was the Apple Isle capital's warmest winter day since August 2022.

Hobart reached 21 degrees shortly after 1.30pm, Weatherzone said.
Meanwhile, Brisbane hit 20.9 degrees, Melbourne 20.5 degrees, Sydney 18.9 degrees and Canberra 17.6 degrees.
Temperatures in Sydney and Brisbane were choked by cloud and showers, Weatherzone said.
Temperatures of 20 degrees or more were also recorded in Tasmania's Upper Derwent Valley, King Island and Flinders Island.

Even Mount Wellington was relatively warm, hitting a top of 10.6 degrees.
"Another relatively mild day with a high of 18 degrees is expected in Hobart on Wednesday before top temps drop to the mid-teens for the rest of the week," Weatherzone said.
"While conditions will be slightly cooler, it won't be bitingly cold, with no snow likely on kunanyi/Mt Wellington until later next week."
