This years’ results have positioned them as the highest performing sixth form college in the Northwest – according to the recent league tables produced by The Times. As well as the only Ofsted outstanding sixth form college in central Lancashire.

Principal of Cardinal Newman College, Nick Burnham, said: “Results day is the greatest day of the year, as it is the day when we see all of the hard work put in by our students and staff come to fruition. It is great to see all of their happy smiling faces as they join us to celebrate today.

“This years’ results are fantastic, and our students are heading off to some truly inspirational destinations. I am so proud of how well our students have done. These results, as ever, are a testament to the hard work that they put into their studies, as well as the dedication of our unbelievably talented staff.”

Preston College boasts a 100% pass rate in a range of T Levels and Level Three Extended Diplomas in Applied Science, Uniformed Public Services, Performance & Production Arts, and Sport amongst others.

They are the only college in Lancashire to have been recognised by Ofsted in making a ‘strong contribution to meeting local skills needs’. Their recent results have only reinforced the positive impact that their technical curriculum has in responding to local and regional skills priorities.

Preston College Principal and Chief Executive, Simon Nixon, said: “Preston College has had another fantastic year of results with 100% pass rates in a broad range of subjects.”

“These results show that we continue to deliver in line with our vision of transforming lives through education, enabling our learners to progress to higher level study or employment and making a positive contribution to meeting skills needs in Lancashire.”

These fantastic results will ensure that hundreds of students will be progressing to their chosen universities, apprenticeships or full-time jobs.
