Some Costco shoppers shared their excitement about the chain’s pumpkin pie.
This bakery item is a seasonal product, as it is only sold in stores during fall, and causes a great excitement when it drops.
One Redditor (@kinds_fellin) shared an image they took of the pie onto the r/Costco subreddit.
“Pumpkin pie season has officially begun!” this person wrote.
Other Redditors flooded the comments with their thoughts on this bakery item.
One person raved about the value as the pie retails for $5.99.
“This is officially the 10th “they have pumpkin pie” post I’ve seen this week,” the Redditor wrote.
“Love pumpkin pie and it is the best deal in the big dessert category.”
“5.99 for this pie with 2024 prices is a dream,” another person said.
The cost of this annual item has not budged and was also $5.99 in 2023.
Despite this praise, one shopper claimed they felt this years offering was different.
“How is it this year last year it was more liquidy everytime someone bought it,” they wrote.
“Deff taste and quality has changed.”
One customer shared a tip on what people can do to make this huge pie last longer.
Costco membership sharing guidelines
Costco has strict rules for membership use that shoppers must follow and they've been cracking down on offenders in recent years.
- Primary Member Use: Only the primary cardholder can use this Costco membership card. Sharing it for purchases is not allowed as the photo on the card must match the person using it.
- Household Card: Each primary member can add one free household cardholder who lives at the same address. This person will receive their own membership card and can shop at Costco independently.
- Guest Policy: Members can bring up to two guests per visit to Costco. However, only the member can make purchases. Guests must be accompanied by the member.
- Authorized Cardholder: For an additional fee, you can add an authorized cardholder, such as a family member or friend, who doesn’t reside at your address. They will receive their own card and can shop independently.

“Slice, pre-freeze the slices and vacuum seal each slice,” they explained.
“This way you don’t have to consume an entire pie before it goes bad and you can have Pumpkin Pie whenever you want.
“Takes about 2 hrs to thaw on the counter.”
COSTCO CHANGES
Although the chain has kept the price of this fall favorite the same, it has made a change to its membership fees.
Costco is set to increase its annual fee by $5 begging September 1, The U.S. Sun has previously reported.
This has meant members will pay $65 instead of $60 a year.
Costco has not made a change to its membership fees since July 2017.
