WWE star Sheamus will be the guest picker for this Saturday’s College GameDay season opener in Ireland.
Georgia Tech will take on Florida State live on ESPN from Dublin’s Aviva Stadium.

For such an occasion, College GameDay host Pat McAfee was keen to recruit the perfect guest picker.
And in Sheamus, he appears to have done so.
During this week’s episode of WWE Raw, McAfee, 37, announced the decision.
“It’s an absolute honor to be a part of College GameDay,” the 37-year-old began.
“And obviously being on the program, I get to answer some questions like, ‘The first international show of all-time is in Dublin, Ireland, who should be the guest picker?’
“I said, ‘Bang! Give me Sheamus! So the redheaded fella will be picking games and having a blast in Dublin on Saturday.”
Hailing from Ireland and having grown up in Dublin, Sheamus will be heading home to take part in the occasion.
“Dublin here we come!” the man known as “The Celtic Warrior” posted on X following the announcement.
Sheamus, 46, has frequently shown that he is a college football fan in the past.
He has made several appearances at Notre Dame, and even recently helped them unveil their new green jerseys.
McAfee also confirmed that Monday’s appearance on Raw will be his last until January.
In a video posted to his Instagram Stories, he revealed that he’d be taking a break from the WWE due to football commitments.
“Last Monday Night RAW Monday for a bit,” he began.
“I’m very bummed out that tonight will be my last trip to that wonderful WWE family for a while.

“Alright, let’s have a day. I’m bummed out.”
He then confessed that, while he loves working on football, the WWE is where he feels most at home.
“Football season is starting, which is awesome,” McAfee continued.
“But the WWE family is where I’m supposed to be, and I know that, and I hope they do too.”
The WWE have already confirmed that McAfee will return to their broadcasts in the new year.
His comeback will coincide with Raw’s much-anticipated move to Netflix.
