Popular music sensation, Damini Ogulu, aka Burna Boy, has slammed the current state of Nigeria in a recent strong-worded outburst.

The celebrity went on to describe the nation as a “collateral damage” that should neevr have existed.

Burna made his opinion known on Friday in an interview with Tidal.

The Star blamed foreign interference and poor governance as some of the many obstacles Nigerians face today.

Burna described Nigeria as a “collateral damage of a business deal gone south,” when referring to how the British formed Nigeria.

“The area called Nigeria was first known as the Niger Area before the Royal Niger Company acquired it.

“After it was acquired, the Royal Niger Company decided to amalgamate the North and South as against running them as separate entities, and it was at this point that the country Nigeria was birthed.

“When the amalgamation was going to happen, the Niger Company and the British who sold Nigeria didn’t take into consideration those living in the region.

“The two entities that sold and bought the Niger Area, the people living there were nothing but collateral damage,” Burna Boy stressed.

The Grammy-award winner warned that, in order to save the country from continued ridicule home and abroad, leaders have to live up to their responsibilities.
