Glastonferret returned to Preston for the 17th time this bank holiday weekend.

The indoor festival took place at grassroots music venue The Ferret in Fylde Road.

The real grass, hay bales and festival decor created an incredible backdrop for almost 40 different acts who performed across four days.

A diverse range of music was on the bill, from AK/DK’s post-punk-disco to Déjà Vega’s guitar-led psychedelia, and from Laura J Martin’s layered vocals, flute and electronics to the energetic alt-rock aggression of festival closers Calva Louise.

It was a feat of organisational mastery to have so many acts coming through the relatively small venue while maintaining a relaxed vibe with – for the most part – everything running on time.

There’s a great community of music lovers surrounding The Ferret, with plenty in attendance to enjoy the live bands and catch up in the beer garden come rain or shine.

Delicious pizza was provided by Ashton-on-Ribble-based Mr Slice Guy, who worked hard all weekend to keep revellers well fed.

More local businesses were represented with Storm Cat selling their clothes and accessories for dopamine dressing, and Secret Industries bringing their cool Northern-inspired prints.

Preston photographer Luke from Mambo Photography was there all weekend to capture the fun – scroll down to see a selection of his pics!
