A man has been charged with attempted murder after a police officer was stabbed at Preston railway station.
As previously reported by Blog Preston, the station was put into lockdown on Saturday night when the incident broke out. A man in his 50s was arrested at the scene after a British Transport Police (BTP) officer was seriously assaulted.
Paramedics took the officer to hospital and in an update today, BTP said his injuries are not thought to be life threatening or life changing.

The force also confirmed that a man has been charged in connection with the incident.
Russel Smith, 53, of Shakespeare Road, Preston, has been charged with attempted murder and one count of possession of a bladed article.
He was due to go before Preston Magistrates Court this morning.
