Premier Smith offers two thoughts on rejecting relocated asylum seekers to Alberta. First, she states excessive immigration increases the cost of living and strains public services. This isn’t an unreasonable perspective, but it certainly wasn’t her opinion when, just a few months ago, she demanded the federal government allow thousands more immigrants to come to Alberta.
