TRAVIS KELCE has broken his silence on his dreadful start to the NFL season with the Kansas City Chiefs.
The legendary tight end has struggled to live up to his high standards so far, despite his team going 3-0.

He was seen looking miserable on the bench during their 22-17 win at the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday.
Kelce has the lowest three game spell stats of his NFL career to date, taking criticism from fans and analysts alike.
And he has opened up to his brother Jason on their New Heights podcast about his poor start.
“I’ve had a lot of catches in this league, man”, said Chiefs star Kelce.
“I’m not worried about the catches and the yards, and all of that.
“I have the most fun when I get the ball thrown my way, I mean, who doesn’t?
“It has everything to do with execution and just making sure we’re doing everything we can to win these football games.
“That’s always going to be the goal.
“I think everyone saw my drop in the fourth quarter and the crucial third down, just trying to do too much before putting the ball away.”
He added: “That’s probably the biggest thing for me is making the play in big-time moments like that.
“I think with how defenses are playing us right now.
“I’m not really getting a lot of opportunities to make plays down the field, but not using that as an excuse.
“Moving forward, still trying to make sure I can help the team out in that regard knowing I’ve been that weapon for us in the past.
“Moving forward, everyone’s just tweaking their game in the right direction.”
'Well-talked-about personal life'
Travis Kelce was asked about his relationship with Taylor Swift during an interview with Good Morning America.
But the Kansas City Chiefs tight end gave a cagey response.
“When you have good family and friends around you, it makes that aspect of life that much easier,” Kelce told GMA.
“I’ve always been a very grounded guy. It might not come off that way when I’m playing football.
“But off the field, I just want to be a genuine person. I try not to get too far down the road.
“Because you never know what opportunities are going to present themselves.”
Kelce has mustered just eight catches through the first three games of this campaign.
In every season of his career before he has averaged more than 10 yards per reception, down to 8.6 this.
The Chiefs have managed to win without him, though, beating the Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals and Falcons.
One reason for his downbeat persona on Sunday could have been the absence of girlfriend Taylor Swift, who was in New York.
But Kelce is determined to turn his fortunes around alongside Patrick Mahomes and head coach Andy Reid.
“Whatever it is, it’s football, baby”, he added.
Chiefs issues – but Kelce isn't one of them

The Chiefs are undefeated and on course for another Super Bowl ring already. It’s clear after just three games.
Andy Reid is the best coach in the league, and with superstars like Patrick Mahomes dictating the offense, you’d be foolish to think otherwise.
But they do have an issue protecting their superstar quarterback, and a lot of it is coming through the problems with the left tackle.
Kingsley Suamataia, 21, is only a rookie, but he’s a second-round pick and will be a star in the future.
But he needs time to develop right now, and Wanya Morris, 23, looks like a clever option by Reid to get Suomataia out of the firing line.
Meanwhile, Travis Kelce is having an awful start to the season. He hasn’t been himself, and Mahomes has struggled to target him.
But he is still the best tight end to ever play in the NFL, a fact that hasn’t changed no matter what anyone will have you believe.
The 34-year-old will pull through. He’s experienced, he’s all-class, and he’s ready to prove his doubters wrong.
“I’m not getting caught up in getting the targets and all that, I just want to have a successful offense.
“I think Pat is doing a great job of finding the open guy and making the right decisions right now.
“We have to keep finding, it’s a new offense, new players, new pieces and we’re just finding how to have success throughout the season.
“As an offense, you’re going to go through these ups and downs throughout the season and you just want to make sure that you clean up all the mistakes.
“You’re making sure that you’re communicating so that everybody understands exactly where we’re going moving forward.
“Nobody does it better than coach (Andy) Reid and Pat Mahomes in that regard.”
