Former President Trump and his running mate, Sen. JD Vance, R-Ohio, have sat down for at least 68 interviews since the Harris-Walz ticket was formed, compared to at least 30 non-scripted interviews for the Democratic presidential ticket thus far.
Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz joined “Fox News Sunday” for an interview on Sunday, where he was pressed on past falsehoods, such as his claim he was present for the Tiananmen Square protests in China in 1989, and he also taped interviews on Monday with Jimmy Kimmel and the “Smartless” podcast.
After weeks of avoiding interviews, Vice President Kamala Harris has stepped up her appearances in recent weeks. She, along with Walz, sat for an interview with “60 Minutes” that aired in full on Monday night, and did a friendly interview on ABC’s “The View” on Tuesday, which will be followed by another stop with radio host Howard Stern. She will be interviewed by Democratic Party supporter and comedian Stephen Colbert Tuesday night.
She also spoke with MSNBC’s Stephanie Ruhle last month for her first one-on-one network interview since becoming the nominee. Harris added a pair of taped local interviews with Atlanta and Pittsburgh news stations and also taped an interview last week with the popular “Call Her Daddy” podcast.
Harris also made an appearance on the “All the Smoke” podcast hosted by former NBA players Stephen Jackson and Matt Barnes. On a similar sports front, Trump was interviewed by OutKick’s Clay Travis while attending the Georgia-Alabama football game last week and also was interviewed by Fox News’ Bill Melugin on Thursday. On Monday, to mark the anniversary of the Oct. 7 terrorist attack, he was interviewed by radio host Sid Rosenberg, and he was also interviewed by Fox News’ Laura Ingraham.
HARRIS CAMPAIGN PLEDGES MORE MEDIA INTERVIEWS AS VOTERS STILL HAVE QUESTIONS ABOUT HER POLICIES
In recent weeks, Wisconsin Public Radio interviewed Harris where she announced that she supports removing the filibuster in order to pass abortion rights legislation, and she has also spoken to Wired, a Spanish radio host and the National Association of Black Journalists.
Harris was also interviewed by Action News 6 ABC last month in Philadelphia, which came on the heels of a report that her campaign is looking for her to do more local interviews in swing states like Pennsylvania.
Meanwhile, Trump has been all over and sat down with “Full Measure” journalist Sharyl Attkisson last week for an interview in which he made news by suggesting he will not run again in four years if he loses to Harris in November. He was interviewed by conservative commentator Ben Shapiro on Tuesday.
Trump also recently sat down for an interview with Fox News contributor and Washington Post columnist Marc Thiessen, joined Fox News late-night show “Gutfeld!” for an extended appearance, and he spoke with Fox’s Brian Kilmeade.
Vance has done dozens of interviews since the Harris-Walz ticket formed on Aug. 6, including multiple Sunday show appearances and interviews with CNN, Fox News and ABC in the aftermath of the ABC News Presidential Debate between Trump and Harris last month.
He was interviewed on the popular “Ruthless” podcast last week, spoke with a Pennsylvania TV station on Saturday and did an interview Monday morning with “Fox & Friends.”
Vance sat down with Fox News host Sean Hannity live from the spin room last week following the CBS News Vice Presidential Debate, where he addressed Harris’ lack of availability.
“She doesn’t answer for anything because she refuses to answer to sit down for interviews,” Vance said.
Vance also recently spoke with Time magazine for a lengthy cover profile, and he spoke with an NBC affiliate in Philadelphia.
Wals spoke with Georgia, Wisconsin and North Carolina TV stations in recent weeks. He spoke with MSNBC and ABC after last month’s presidential debate, and he was interviewed by Michigan station Fox 17.
Harris also taped two radio interviews with Uforia, the audio network of TelevisaUnivision, and Rickey Smiley, host of the nationally syndicated “Rickey Smiley Show.” She also called into “Afternoon Vibes with Ms. Jessica,” another radio program.
Walz also spoke to WCMU radio in Michigan, in addition to speaking with “The Morning News with Nancy Kman and Jason Barsky” on WILK in Pennsylvania and “The Chad Holmes Show” on WXCO in Wisconsin.

Harris and Walz ended an extended interview drought in August when they were interviewed jointly by CNN’s Dana Bash in Georgia.
Since Aug. 6, when the Harris-Walz ticket was formed, Trump has also spoken with, among others, Fox News, NBC News, The Daily Mail, Hugh Hewitt, the New York Post and local outlets like WBRE News Wilkes-Barre and WLOS News 13 Asheville, as well as podcaster Lex Fridman and X owner Elon Musk.
Harris still has not held a formal press conference since replacing President Biden as the Democratic nominee.
