A young father was inside his car with his baby in Brisbane's southside when he came face-to-face with a group of young criminals trying to break in.
A baby monitor inside a Sunnybank Hills home captured a young thief breaking in and stealing the family's car keys.
The thief then left the home and headed to the car.

Inside that car was young father Brandt Rodriguez, who had fallen asleep while trying to settle his one-year-old son as his partner studied inside the home.
"I woke up to three guys in my face and I just started chasing and screaming and yelling at them and before I knew they just bolted down the street," he told 9News.
Rodriguez got his son back inside the house and alerted his partner.
But the thieves, who still had the family's car keys, soon returned.
"They keep coming in, the car keeps unlocking so you can hear it, you can see all the lights in the car turning on so these guys are definitely trying to get our car," Rodriguez said.

The family is waiting for their car keys to be replaced.
In the meantime, they have resorted to parking their car inside to prevent it from being stolen.
Police have taken fingerprints from the scene as part of their ongoing investigations.
The thieves remain on the run.

Rodriguez said the incident has been worrying.
"You don't think it's going to happen to you but it happens to everyone now," he said.
"They're just not scared of police. Police have come around twice and they've been doing patrols the whole night but these guys just keep coming back."
