Watt has been an NFL analyst for CBS since retiring from the NFL after the 2022 season.

He also appears weekly on Pat McAfee‘s self-titled ESPN program.

The Houston Texans icon Watt appeared on the hit show this week as McAfee discussed Rodgers‘ sharing this week that he’s been drinking water with cayenne pepper as a way to reduce pain.

Watt didn’t seem amused or impressed with the method.

“Oh, that’ll do it,” said Watt. “Yeah, right out of the darkness, baby. That’s it.”

He then shared his disdain for the media’s coverage of Rodgers, who has had a below-average season and led the Jets to a 2-6 record.

“Is this a joke, man? Is this a joke? Go play ball, man. Just go play ball. Try to get better. Try to score some touchdowns,” Watt said.

“I’m so sick of talking about this s***.

“You’re 2–6.”

McAfee then tried to convince Watt to take a page out of Rodgers’ book and use cayenne.

Watt, however, continued to mock the 10-time All-Pro Rodgers.

“Sprinkle it on the playbook. Maybe it’ll pick the good plays like a Ouija board,” he responded.

Watt’s strong words turned heads as McAfee brings on Rodgers to his ESPN program as a weekly guest each week.

The future Hall of Famer isn’t the only ESPN star who wants Rodgers and the Jets to stop receiving attention.

First Take analyst Chris “Mad Dog” Russo shared his displeasure that the network continues to talk about the Jets.

The Jets entered the season with high expectations, but have lost five straight games.

The team fired head coach Robert Saleh along the way, and have yet to win under interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich.

Rodgers has struggled in his 20th season in the NFL.

He ranks 23rd in QBR (50.4) and has seven interceptions which is on pace for a career-high in the stat.

The Jets will face the 6-2 Texans on Thursday Night Football.
