A new community cafe which opened in Ribbleton in October has big plans for the future.
Brekkie N Beyond, managed by Charlene Rowe, opened its doors on Blackpool Road. It is run by a ‘close-knit’ team who ‘always like a laugh and a dance’.
With a bright and inviting space, the cafe serves breakfasts, sandwiches, and pies as well as takeaway Sunday dinners which are available for delivery.
The new business has big plans to involve the community during the festive season, with their motto ‘a laugh and a bite, to start your day right,’ it aims to be a place for all.

This year, Charlene plans to open on Christmas Day and provide free Christmas dinner for families.
She said: “It’s the first time I’ve done something like this. I just wanted to give back to those less fortunate.
“I’m hoping to do two sittings and make it a fun day for families and their children.”
Charlene has partnered with Byron Highton who runs the JJ Effect, a Christmas appeal to help struggling families in the city. Byron will refer people to Charlene for Christmas dinner.

Byron, a Preston campaigner, will also be working with Mikey McGuiness, Lewis Jennis and Charlene to deliver presents and make the day special for people in need.
Brekkie N Beyond is a donation point for the appeal. Customers can bring in toys and money which will all go towards The JJ Effect Christmas Child and Family Need cause.
They are hosting a free fancy dress Christmas party at Deepdale Labour Club on 21 December.
There will be activities for children, live gift draws and games with all money raised going towards the appeal.
You can donate here or visit the cafe.
With even more festive fun planned, Brekkie N Beyond is hosting Tea With Santa on 20 December. There will be an inflatable grotto and a gift for each child.
As well as this, they will be the only food stall at Hesketh Arms Christmas Markets on the 15 and 22 of December.
Charlene added: “I haven’t had a break yet but I love it. This is something I’ve always wanted to do.
“We’re very community-focused and love seeing regular and new faces all the time.”
Brekkie N Beyond is open seven days a week, 7am – 2pm through Monday to Saturday and 9am – 3pm on Sundays.
They host a baby and toddler-friendly hour on Tuesday from 10am, a “time for parents to not worry about how much noise or mess their children are making,” says Charlene.
The team are also open on an evening when Preston North End are playing at Deepdale.
