Fenerbahçe’s manager, José Mourinho, has dismissed swirling rumours regarding intention to bring Cristiano Ronaldo to the Turkish club.

With Cristiano Ronaldo’s contract at Al Nassr reportedly nearing its end, speculation arose that the Portuguese superstar might be interested in a return to European football under the guidance of his fellow countryman, Mourinho.

In response to these rumours, Mourinho humorously stated that the only reason Ronaldo would travel to Turkey would be to enjoy the country’s renowned cuisine or to reconnect with him.

“The idea of Cristiano Ronaldo joining Fenerbahçe is ridiculous,” Mourinho declared during a recent press conference.

“I can imagine Cristiano visiting Istanbul just to savour the delicious food, as it conveniently lies on the route between Saudi Arabia and Portugal. Or perhaps he might swing by just to catch up with his old friend, José; we could share a meal at my hotel!”

Meanwhile, Nigerian forward Tolu Arokodare expressed his excitement after scoring a goal on his birthday for KRC Genk during their league match on Saturday, November 24.

Arokodare made a significant impact on the game by netting the opening goal just 13 minutes before the final whistle, marking his ninth goal of the season and contributing to his team’s victory.

Following the match, Arokodare shared his happiness with the media, noting the intensity of the contest.

“This victory is incredibly satisfying, but I must admit it was not an easy match for us. We struggled significantly during the first half,” he said.

“Scoring on my birthday makes this moment even sweeter; it’s not just about the goal but also about helping the team secure the win.”
