A special meeting has been called of members to discuss a way forward for the club in Rose Street.
A statement from the Jalgos Sports and Social Club said: “As from tonight Monday 2nd December 2024 Jalgos Sports and Social Club will be closed.
“It is with deep regret that Donna and Judith have decided to resign from their positions as chair and secretary of Jalgos Sports and Social Club with immediate effect.
“There will be a special members meeting on Sunday 15th December at 2pm.
“Thank you all for your past support.”
In 2010 the club was threatened with demolition as part of the ill-fated Tithebarn scheme but a campaign to save it was successful.
