ALDI will conduct mass closures soon, forcing holiday shoppers to head elsewhere for grocery needs.
The supermarket chain has over 2,100 locations in 38 states, and every single one will shutter their doors for 24 hours.

It may not surprise consumers who have frequented Aldi for years, as it typically shuts down on several key dates, per its website.
Each is a holiday — including Christmas, approaching fast in just 21 days.
Customers desperate for holiday meal ingredients, presents, or any other merchandise they might need from Aldi will not be able to shop in-store on December 25, as it observes the day and gives employees time to celebrate with loved ones.
Additionally, Aldi will have limited hours at its stores on Christmas Eve.
It would be wise for customers to double-check the hours of their local Aldi beforehand to confirm hours, as they’re subject to change state-to-state and store-to-store.
They can then adjust shopping plans to head to their nearest Aldi during the limited hours on Christmas Eve or after Christmas Day on December 26.
WAREHOUSE WOES
Competitors like Costco will also be no help on December 25.
The warehouse retailer also recognizes it as a time for employees to celebrate with friends and family.
Costco’s over 600 locations across the United States will shutter for the entire day.
Hours will also vary on Christmas Eve at Costco’s stores.
Some have listed limited hours of operation from 8:30 AM to 5 PM, but shoppers should, again, confirm the hours of their nearest location.
Aldi and Costco aren’t alone in their Christmas closures, as Publix, Sam’s Club, Trader Joe’s, Wegman’s, and Winn Dixie will shut down for the holiday.
Retail giants like Big Lots, Dollar Tree, Kohl’s, Macy’s, Target, and Walmart will follow suit.
Still, this is the busiest shopping season of the year, with the average American expected to spend between $900 and $2,100 on gifts and supplies, per CBS News.
