Bricks in the road causing M55 and M6 delays

Delays are building on the M55 link road to the M6 just beyond the Broughton interchange.

Bricks have been seen scattered in the road on the eastbound carriageway close to where the motorway splits for the M6 north and south slip roads at Junction 32.

Pictures show drivers swerving to avoid the debris.

National Highways North West is showing delays back to Junction 2 for Edith Rigby Way around 3.30pm on Thursday (5 December). Delays of at least 15 minutes are currently being experienced.

Preston Police told Blog Preston it’s understood the bricks have fallen from a lorry and the Highways Agency was dealing with debris collection.
