The Winckley Square Christmas Concert is returning to Preston city centre this weekend.
The 2024 event will start at 3pm on Sunday (15 December) with a welcome from Councillor Anna Hindle.
At 3.10pm, St Stephen’s Choir will lead traditional carols around the Christmas tree, followed at 3.45pm by Preston Ukulele Strummers offering a chance to sing along with your favourite songs.
The entertainment continues with Sambafriq Samba Drummers at 4.30pm, before the traditional bagpipes rendition from Kenny at 5.15pm.
The concert will close at 5.30pm with a sing-a-long of Auld Lang Syne.
A pop up licensed bar will be selling mulled wine and ales, plus soft drinks and hot chocolate. There will be mince pies, hot dogs (including a vegan option) and Peter’s Perfect Parched Peas on offer.

A spokesperson from organisers, Friends of Winckley Square, said: “The hard standing has been installed, and the guys from Parks have done a super job so there should be dry feet for all.
“The event is free and there is no need to book. All are welcome whether for the full event or just to pop in and out while in the city centre.”
