A South Ribble bar and restaurant will go up for auction in the New Year.
Taps and Wine Bar, on Chorley Road in Walton-le-Dale, will be open to minimum bids of £260,000 via SDL Property Auctions on 16 January, 2025 at midday.
The listing says that the business is an ‘opportunity to walk in and take over a successfully run bar well known for its choice of 25 draught beer lines…and the potential to drive huge growth by fully utilising the first floor restaurant area’.

The listing also states it is targeting ‘an ambitious chef with investor backing’.
The reason for the sale is listed as the retirement of the current owners, who recently celebrated five years operating Taps and Wine.
Describing the property, SDL said: “The property is situated in a prominent and affluent location and is still trading as a bar until sale completion as the “Taps and Wine Bar” affording an excellent opportunity for either an existing leisure and hospitality user or investor.
“As part of recent high specification renovations, the building benefits from a ground floor bar and a high quality first floor restaurant dining area with a commercial kitchen. Additionally there is a large basement area spanning the footprint of the building and quality W.C. facilities. Externally there is a seating area to the front of the property.
“The main ground floor bar area has seating for over 55, the first floor restaurant can hold 44 covers and the external beer garden area has seating for over 30.”
