A New Hall Lane business and a charity teamed up to bring a Christmas boost to Royal Preston Hospital this week.
The Light Foundation, a charity which promotes cross-faith discussion and a wider understanding of the Muslim community, and NHL Pharmacy, visited the paediatric ward on Monday evening (23 December) with gifts.
Toys and selection boxes were handed over to children in a bid to bring some smiles and relief to many who will be spending Christmas away from their family or loved ones.

A spokesperson for the Light Foundation said: “We would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere thanks and gratitude to the Royal Preston Hospital for such a memorable evening and to the brilliant NHS workers for their ongoing service.”
Sajeel, from NHL Pharmacy, said: “We hope the donation made on behalf of NHL Pharmacy to the Light Foundation is a small gesture that will bring happiness and smiles on these children’s faces and provide support to their families.
“It was a warming experience meeting the team at Royal Preston Hospital, who strive to work hard in the Paediatric Ward. The team were fantastic, and we extend our gratitude to them for working with diligence to look after their patients.”
