Mystery remains over what a currently empty store at a city shopping park will become.
What was the Game unit at Deepdale Shopping Park has seen fencing go up around it as works take place.
Game has seen major changes since the company merged with Frasers Group in 2019 leading to smaller shops being opened inside of Sports Direct – as happened at Deepdale.

However new life is getting breathed into the vacant building as Preston City Council have approved a series of changes to the unit.
The agents for the proposal, London based company Montagu Evans, have refused to comment when asked by Blog Preston about what the unit was due to become.
Montagu Evans is an independent business consultancy company who are responsible for a wide range of projects and as such could be doing many things with the premises.
The changes proposed are an overhaul of the cladding that keeps the theme of the surrounding area and a replacement of the existing mezzanine however no additional floor space will be created by the overhaul.
Secrecy has remained a common theme with everyone involved in the project being unable to comment.
Branded fences for the firm Inside have been having been spotted around the store. Inside are a company that handle corporate renovations and are in charge of stripping the premises however they couldn’t comment what kind of store will be opened when approached by Blog Preston.
9 Yards are the Manchester based company responsible for managing Deepdale Shopping Park and they refused to give any information regarding what will become of the store once work is complete when approached by Blog Preston.
