A new fish and chip shop will be opening on Hill Street close to Friargate with plans to open a connecting lounge restaurant in the weeks ahead.

The restaurant, FRYDAY, prides themselves in being a traditional British fish and chips shop and takeaway, using locally sourced, high-quality ingredients.

What used to be the Tinos restaurant has been converted after the Italian restaurant closed down in summer last year.

Co-Owner Ali said: “We are planning to open more than 50 branches around the UK,

“We want to deliver a good-quality food to the British public.”

The connecting bar, ‘336’ will be a combination of restaurant, lounge, and shisha bar, providing a range of foods.

Fellow co-owner, Jim Mackinnon, said: “We’re giving people an option, they can have fish and chips, they can have Italian, they can have a bit of Chinese”.

The Hill Street fish and chip restaurant and takeaway will make it the third of the FRYDAY chain, with two other locations in Leyland and Chorley.

The FRYDAY fish and chip bar will be opening Wednesday 15 January 2025, with the connecting 336 lounge opening date to be released soon.
