MICHAEL Strahan was told that it’s “not the time” for his remarks about the Detroit Lions.
The comment came despite Strahan being part of Fox’s coverage of the Lions against the Washington Commanders.

Detroit fell to a shock defeat by the Commanders in the division round of the playoffs.
The Lions were the No. 1 seed and won 15 of their 17 regular-season games.
But they were beaten 45-31 by the Commanders at Ford Field on Saturday night.
The shock NFC result was shown live across the nation on Fox.
Strahan tried to remain upbeat about Detroit’s season.
“Washington went out there and played a great game,” he said on Fox’s post-game coverage.
“But for Detroit, I mean what a great season they had.
“They should be proud of their season and this is why; they had so many injuries on that team, especially defensively, and they still made it this far.
“And I think it just caught up with them.
“It’s hard to overcome that many defensive injuries, no matter how well they played later in the season defensively.
“This is the playoffs, it’s a whole different thing.”
But Strahan was told by a podcast host that now wasn’t the time for such opinions.
Zach Gelb hosts a self-titled show on CBS Sports Radio.
And he said on X, “There can’t be a Lions fan on the planet who wants to hear Michael Strahan right now say how proud the Lions should be of the season they had with all the injuries they suffered.
“They were the number 1 seed and just lost in the divisional round! Not the time for that!”

Lions coach Dan Campbell was heartbroken in his press conference after the game.
“It just hurts to lose, man,” Campbell said as he tried to fight back tears.
“And I don’t care if you’re the 7-seed, 6-seed, 5-seed, 1-seed.
“Cause I’ve lost at all of them, damn near, and it stings and it hurts.
“It hurts. You have to get up, body’s beat to s***, mentally stay locked in and do those things, so long season.”
Fox will broadcast the NFC Championship Game between the Washington Commanders and Philadelphia Eagles at 3 pm ET on Sunday.
