Key roads connecting Preston with Grimsargh and Longridge were described as ‘bedlam’ this morning.
Longridge Road and Preston Road, which connect Grimsargh and Longridge with Preston and the M6, are busy roads in the mornings due to commutes and school runs.
However, an apparent malfunction at the temporary lights between Bluebell Way and Roman Way caused significant issues this morning (4 February).

One commuter told Blog Preston: “It’s bedlam out there. It’s backed up all the way to the shop [at Grimsargh] already.”
There are delays heading towards the Bluebell Way from Grimsargh as a result and further delays joining the M6 at junction 31a as a result.
Elsewhere, a road closure at Hothersall Lane is causing delays near Longridge this morning.
