Preston’s SpudBros have come under fire from social media food influencers who tried their famous jacket potatoes.
‘Bite Twice Food Blog’ took to their Instagram and TikTok platform to review the spuds and the video was a hit with viewers – with more than 60,000 views so far.
It comes after the Spud Bros team recently opened a restaurant in Central London allowing them to expand from their Flag Market-based home.

The Bite Twice duo Gerry and Paul were happy with the potatoes praising the chilli and cheese and the ‘world famous’ tram sauce.
However, they claimed the food was overhyped and are ‘just a f***** jacket potato’ which they could make at home themselves – and questioned the £11 price tag.
The duo commented on waiting 25 minutes to be served despite there only being three people in front of them.
They said: “It took us 25 minutes to get served because they’re too busy making TikToks and standing around talking.”
They also joked that “People really need to grow up on Instagram and Facebook if they are making Jacket Potatoes go viral” – despite themselves posting on social media about what they made of a jacket potato.

A spokesperson for the SpudBros told Blog Preston, in response to the BiteTwice review; “It’s not just a jacket potato – it’s the greatest spud on earth.”
