A production of Arthur Miller’s play All My Sons is coming to Preston.
Considered one of Miller’s greatest, the play is being brought to the Playhouse by Preston Drama Club.
Inspired by true events, All My Sons is the story of a successful self-made businessman, Joe Keller, who was accused of supplying defective aircraft equipment in World War II, leading to the demise of 21 pilots.
In the play, a subsequently exonerated Joe, together with his wife Kate, have become a success story. They have built a home, raised two sons, and established a thriving business.
However, they are still living with the ghosts of the past – and long-buried truths are being forced to the surface with the price of their American dream laid bare.

Director, Christine Odlum, said: “Written in 1947, Arthur Miller’s seminal drama is, in its essence, a family drama about love and loyalty. However, it also could not be more relevant today – and the parallels to Trump’s America more poignant.
“The core themes – of corporate greed versus moral responsibility, manipulation of the truth, and family first versus the greater good – all uncannily mirror the daily events unfolding across the pond and the devastating effects the consequences have on one family.
“Our superbly cast production is sure to keep audiences on tenterhooks until the very end.”

All My Sons is being performed from Wednesday 26 February to Saturday 1 March at Preston Playhouse in Market Street West.
Priced at £12 for adults and £11 for concessions, tickets are available from TicketSource.
