All key routes around Preston saw high volumes of traffic yesterday evening and this morning as the city drew to a familiar standstill.

Blog Preston received reports that people were stuck at the scene of the incident overnight and asked National Highways: North West about trapped traffic between junction 31 and the incident itself. Blog Preston understands that police do not believe anyone was at fault for the incident itself.

Routes across Preston continue to be extremely busy due to the earlier work.
