Ships set off from the port in Jakarta to join other vessels already out at sea, as the search for the crashed Sriwijaya Air’s black boxes entered a third day. The Boeing 737-500 plane with 62 people on board plunged into the Java Sea Saturday (January 9) afternoon, four minutes after taking off from Jakarta’s main airport.
