One person dead after semi and car collide south of Athabasca: RCMP

In a Friday news release, police said the collision was reported at about 1:35 p.m., and blocked both northbound and southbound lanes of Highway 2 at Range Road 634, causing traffic diversions. Police did not release the name, age or gender of the victim.

Athabasca is about 150 km north of Edmonton.
