The 59-year-old man accused of shooting dead three members of a family and wounding a fourth on a rural Queensland property will face court today.
Detectives allege 59-year-old Darryl "Blinky" Young from Bogie murdered Mervyn Schwarz, Maree Schwarz and her son Graham Tighe on the remote Shannonvale Station south-west of Bowen on Thursday.
Young will be taken to Proserpine Magistrates Court for his first appearance on three murder charges, plus a single charge of attempted murder.

The family, who had just moved into the sprawling $10 million property a year ago, had allegedly been locked in arguments with their neighbour about a fence boundary.
Young had arranged a meeting at the gate between the two properties on the morning of the shooting, police claimed.
The alleged gunman, who was known to police, had been a long-time resident at Bogie.
