On the 24th of November, the very first Ethical AI Community event will take place in Barcelona, Spain.
The initiative is led by Citibeats, a provider of ethically-sourced AI insights that drive real-time, data-driven actionable decisions, in collaboration with NTT Data.
AI Residency Program, an initiative designed for anyone interested in applying to PhD programs, publishing research paper, or just maximizing their experience before attending graduate programs.
Ethical AI Community – Building a Better Society from Barcelona to the World will bring together data scientists, and international AI and ethics experts to discuss Open Source, gender bias, ethical AI, the Responsable.ai Manifesto, and the transparent and citizens-oriented use of technology for a positive impact on society.
“Technology has the power to change the world and, if used in a responsible and ethical way, to impact society and citizens positively. But in order to do that, it is necessary to mitigate bias and inequalities, and to include everyone’s voice in the decision-making process, and when we talk about Data Science and Machine Learning, it is even more important on the data level. Only in this way, we will be able to come up with solutions that truly help everybody, with no exceptions”, said Abby Seneor, CTO at Citibeats. “Just six months ago, when the idea crossed our minds for the first time the Ethical AI Community seemed only a dream. Now it is reality. This is truly the beginning of an exciting journey and we are glad to share it with our audience”, added Abby
