A Sydney sailor and his dog have been rescued in the Pacific Ocean after surviving by drinking rain water and eating raw fish for months.
Tim Shaddock began a journey from Mexico to French Polynesia three months ago.
A few weeks in to his trip bad weather severely damaged the electronics on board his catamaran.

A helicopter accompanying a tuna trawler spotted the drifting boat and came to his rescue about two months later.
"I have been through a very difficult ordeal at sea," Shaddock told 9News.
"I'm just needing rest and good food because I have been alone at sea a long time," he said.

"Otherwise I'm in very good health."
Doctors say Shaddock hasn't suffered any major illness or injury.
He is still on his way back to dry land.
