Sydney activist Danny Lim says he'll be back smiling again soon after being injured in an attack on Friday.
Lim, 79, was attacked at Strathfield train station at 4pm while campaigning for a Yes vote in the referendum for an Indigenous Voice to parliament. He was taken to Concord Hospital for a CT scan.
He suffered injuries to his eye and is now in recovery back home.
Lim told 9News the attack left him feeling "shocked, sick and scared".

"I need to see an eye specialist because the pressure on the eye is now too great," he said.
A passerby got involved to try to stop the alleged attack, an act that Lim says "really gave him hope".
Police are using security footage to determine how and why the alleged altercation began. It is unclear if he was attacked because of his campaigning.
It is not the first time Lim's activism has led to trouble.
He suffered a brain bleed in December last year after police arrested him for allegedly failing to comply with a moveon order outside Sydney's Queen Victoria Building.
He was also once slapped with a fine for offensive conduct over a vulgar sign which criticised then prime minister Tony Abbott.
Lim says he will be back out on Sydney's streets smiling soon, he just needs time to recover.
