The organisation revealed this in a statement released on Monday, October 30, 2023, as these personalities join Emmy-nominated Nigerian-British writer-producer Abby Ajayi, Nigerian film producer Greg Otudayo, Zimbabwean award-winning author Tsitsi Dangarembga, renowned Hollywood producer Nicholas Weinstock and more.

The jury has been tasked to choose the finalists for the AFRIFF Globe Awards after the festival received over 2,000 films from more than 100 countries across five continents during its call for submission.

In line with its aim to promote original storytelling, AFRIFF will be introducing its ‘Script to Screen’ project during the award show.

According to the organisers, “The Script to Screen intervention is a year-long incubator, capacity development, and content creation acceleration program. It aims to enhance the abilities of African creatives to produce high-quality screen content and facilitates valuable networking opportunities with international studios and streamers.”

The 2022 edition had Disney’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever cast – Lupita Nyong’o and Letitia Wright – in attendance.
