The O2 Arena has confirmed that Grammy-nominated star Davido has once again sold out the 20,000-capacity O2 Arena seven days after tickets were up for sale.
Davido’s Timeless concert, slated for January 28, 2024, makes it the third time the music star has sold out the venue. This makes him the second Nigerian act with the most sold-out shows at the venue.
Currently, the music star is on tour across the world, a tour which earned him his highest-grossing US concert of all time with his Capital One Arena concert in Washington, where he reportedly earned over $800,000, according to Touring Data.
After a five-month hiatus, the music star came back bigger and better as he released his fourth studio album, ‘Timeless,’ which, at the time, broke the record for the biggest debut week ever recorded on Boomplay Nigeria after amassing over 22 million streams four days after its release. It went on to earn him his first set of Grammy nominations.
Between 2018 and 2024, over ten shows have been held by Nigerian acts at O2 Arena, with artistes like Wizkid, Davido and Burna Boy paving the way for acts such as Rema and Asake to sell out this Arena.
