Firefighters are fighting a major blaze at a factory in Melbourne's north.
Thick plumes of smoke have filled the sky at Broadmeadows, in Melbourne's north, where the fire broke out at a recycling plant at Maygar Boulevard, around 5am today.
Crews arrived on scene within several minutes to find the steel shed and a further area well alight.

Fire crews are attacking the fire from the sky and ground and working to save an adjacent warehouse, with 25 fire crews on site.
Police have shut down streets surrounding Maygar Boulevard while the fire is being contained.
Authorities confirmed no one was inside the factory at the time of the fire.
