Two men, including a teenager, have been charged with attempted murder after three people were injured in shootings in Brisbane overnight.
Police found three people with non-life-threatening injuries in Brisbane’s CBD after they were called to reports of shots fired about 10.40pm.
Police believe the alleged shooting was a “targeted attack” on a man, and believe the suspects and the victim knew each other.
The suspects fled the scene to the city’s south-west.
“The alleged offenders fled the scene and travelled to Darra where they set fire to the vehicle they were travelling in just after midnight,” police said in a statement.
The police dog squad, helicopter unit and specialist police then helped arrest a 19-year-old Redbank Plains man and a 20-year-old Goodna man in Darra.
They also recovered a gun.
The two men have since been hit with more than 30 charges, including four counts of attempted murder and three counts of acts intended to maim/disfigure/disable.
Both men were refused bail refused and are due to front Brisbane Magistrates Court tomorrow.
Police said they were still searching for a 22-year-old Goodna man who may assist with inquiries.
“Anyone with information about his whereabouts should immediately contact police,” police said.
Witnesses to the shootings or anyone with relevant vision are also urged to contact police.
There were two other shootings in Queensland overnight.
A woman was shot dead at a Morayfield unit, while police shot a man dead after a stand-off in Townsville.
